When do you list new rugs?

Follow Perch 313 on Instagram and Facebook to get up-to-date information on the arrival of new rugs. I also have a growing collection of rugs, not listed online, in my small rug shop in Birmingham, Michigan. You can find open hours listed weekly on Instagram and Facebook, and also book an appointment on our Insta page. Our hours do change weekly at this time, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

How are your rugs priced?

It is my intention to source affordable rugs, that will provide customers with alternatives to big box stores. Vintage rugs are one-of-a-kind, and pricing is dependent on many factors such as size, region, age, colors, and condition.

Tell me about shipping

Shipping is added at check out, based on zip code and weight of rug. I will work to keep shipping costs as low as possible, using UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

Local customers can pick up their rugs at our shop in Birmingham, Michigan.

All orders will be shipped within 1-3 days of payment. 

May I return a rug?

I want you to love your purchase. If for some reason, you are unhappy with your product, please contact me within three days of delivery. The following rules apply to purchases online purchases, bricks and mortar purchases may have different guidelines:

Full price rugs: Returns within three days are accepted. Rug must be received in the condition it was sold. A restocking fee will be subtracted from your refund amount, this reimburses us for credit card fees and cleaning. Thank you for supporting our small business.

For returned items: We will notify you once your item has been received and inspected. We require all returned items to be unused and in the original condition. Customer is responsible for return shipping. All items must be received by Perch 313 within seven days of return notification. If we are notified after the three day window, or rug is not received within the seven day time frame, your return will be cancelled.

Restocking Fees: If an item is returned from either an online or in store purchase, a restocking fee will be applied. A fee of 10% - 20% will be subtracted from your refund, dependent on weight and size of rug. 

All sale and promotional merchandise and rugs are final sale. No exceptions. Any other discount code may not be used with a sale item, sale will be canceled. 

Please remember these are vintage rugs, imperfections and wear are part of their unique charm.

Returns of merchandise, including pillows:

Full Price Items: May be returned within three days. Merchandise must be received within seven days. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. We do not accept returns on vintage items, gourmet food, or brass mills. 

Are your photos edited?

All my pictures are taken by a professional photographer, or by me with my iPhone 11 Pro. Natural lighting is used, and we strive to represent the true colors of the rug. Please bear in mind, lighting and colors may appear slightly different on different screens. If you have questions, I am happy to match a rug to a paint sample or sent additional pictures.

How do I clean a vintage rug?

All rugs and textiles are professionally cleaned before they ship. Once you have a vintage rug in your home, you should plan on weekly vacuuming, taking care to vacuum with the grain of the rug texture. Vacuum the flip side at least once a month. If you experience a spill or stain: first spot clean with mild soap and water, then blot gently with a white cloth. For pet stains, you can try 1:1 vinegar and water, blotting gently. Please be sure to absorb excess liquid. Professionally clean as needed.

Do you offer discounts for industry professionals?

Yes! I am happy to offer discounts to interior designers, decorators, and other design professionals. Please note the discount is only given to industry professionals working directly with Perch 313, or who have provided trade affiliations to us. Do you offer concierge service or home consultations?

We offer tiered levels of concierge services, including delivery of purchased items in the Berkley/Birmingham/Royal Oak Michigan area, and at home consultations. While we love and enjoy meeting our clients, at home consultations are time consuming, labor intensive, involve drive time and time away from our shop, and so we must charge for our time.

Concierge fees:

  • Delivery of purchased items: $10 - $50 depending on distance, weight of rug. 
  • Home consultation: We are able to bring up to six vintage rugs to your home, for you to view in your space. Fees are estimated based on reasonable drive time, and size/weight of rugs.
  1. $150 for one hour concierge home consultation services. $100 will be applied to purchases over $400, the remaining $50 is our fee for service. Purchase must be made on the day of visit, and paid in full to receive credit.
  2. If a purchase is not made on the day of our visit, the $150 is our fee for service. If you decide within a week of visit to purchase a rug over $400, we will credit you $100, however you must pick the rug up from our shop in Birmingham, Michigan.
  3. Thank you for understanding. We love visiting our clients in their homes.
